Amanda Gifford ’08 was a four-sport standout, playing on seven state championship teams while at Lee Academy. Amanda scored 113 goals in her L.A. soccer career, putting her on the all-time highest lists for Lee Academy and the state of Maine. Her high-scoring performance helped lead the 2005 and 2007 Lee Academy soccer teams to championships.  Amanda also ran for Lee cross-country in the fall, as part of the 2004 championship team.

Selected twice for All-Penobscot Valley Conference softball, Amanda was a key member of the 2006 state championship team. She was a 2008 semifinalist for the Miss Maine Basketball Award, a two-time Eastern Maine all-tournament selection, and a member of the state championship basketball teams of 2005, 2007, and 2008.

 

Amanda was inducted in to Lee Academy Athletic Hall of Fame in October 2013.
