Ron (class of 1993) was a standout athlete in basketball and baseball while attending Lee Academy. He was an outstanding point guard in basketball and played pitcher and catcher on the baseball diamond. Ron was a stellar defender and tremendous leader in basketball, though baseball was where he was at his best. During his junior and senior years he compiled a 7-2 pitching record, had a .442 batting average with 8 homeruns, 34 stolen bases, and only struck out four times in over 100 at-bats. He had a stretch of 12 consecutive hits, an unofficial Lee Academy record. Maybe even more impressive than his pitching and offense were his defensive skills as a catcher, a position he played at Division I University of Maine after graduating from Lee Academy.

Ron was inducted into the Lee Academy Athletic Hall of Fame in October of 2011.
