Shelby (class of 2005) finished her soccer career with a then state record of 177 goals, leading Lee Academy to two girls State Championships. Her 1784 career points in basketball is a school record and ranks high on Maine’s schoolgirl list. Shelby was a four-time All-State soccer selection and was twice All-State in basketball. She also excelled in cross-country and softball. Upon graduation she played Division I soccer at the University of Maine before transferring to Husson University and becoming a three-sport standout in soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. She is the only Lee Academy athlete to have her number retired.

Shelby was inducted into the Lee Academy Athletic Hall of Fame in October of 2011.
