Steve (class of 1992) was without doubt one of the most dominant athletes in Lee Academy history. An accomplished basketball star, Steve ended his career with a school record 1384 points but his strength was his outstanding overall play. He was a great rebounder and passer while also being a tremendous defender. Steve was a rare player in that he could play all five positions. Like his brother Ron, he also stood out on the baseball field. His senior year he had a 6-2 pitching record, throwing a no-hitter in Lee Academy’s first-ever Eastern Maine championship. Steve hit .575 with 9 homeruns, 31 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases. These stats earned him the 1992 Maine Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year Award. He went on to play baseball at Division I University of Maine.

Steve was inducted into the Lee Academy Athletic Hall of Fame in October of 2011.
