Daegu International School has an extensive after school activity (ASA) program in all divisions (elementary (1-5), middle (6-8) and high school (9-12)). The ASA program is a comprehensive combination of co-curricular athletic, academic, cultural, artistic, and social awareness activities that allow students to grow as global citizens, learn teamwork, and have fun with their peers. Students in grades 1 through 12 have an opportunity to register for ASAs every quarter, as offerings change quarterly based on the seasons and student/parent feedback.
Athletics
Daegu International School believes that school athletics is an integral component of the complete educational structure. DIS athletics aims to provide opportunities for our student-athletes to have fun, build friendships, and develop sportsmanship skills. Additionally, our athletics programs promote fitness and skill development, and enable our athletes to be competitive within our league. DIS is a member of SKAC (South Korean Activities Conference). There are nine schools within this league. Each sport competes in at least two tournaments per season.
